Ashley Monroe

Ashley Monroe is an American country music artist and singer. The singer released two singles in 2007 and a full album titled Satisfied. The year 2013 saw her launched her second album titled Like a Rose. Ashley Monroe, Assistant Village Manager of the Village in Riverside Illinois has more than fifteen years of experience within the public sector. She worked for nearly five years working in Iowa City as the Deputy City manager. In her position as Assistant Village Director, she manages managing the Community Development and Building Department. This includes coordinating grants and completing special projects. Ashley is involved in the day-to-day operation of Riverside services and also in implementing the community's elected officials' goals. Ashley was in a number of positions during her career, which included municipal planning, government communications budgeting, collective bargaining and management of employees as well as working on climate change-related initiatives. Ashley's participation in national organizations, and her work with communities of varying populations has given her an understanding of the different aspects and similarities between how different public organizations operate. Ashley's program concentrates on leadership, management and public administration as seen from the perspective from a practitioner in the field. Alongside providing an environment for both current and future practitioners Ashley focuses on the necessity of adapting today's strategic and ethical decision-making to meet challenges and take advantage of opportunities.
